Examining How Managing the Environment Influences the
Health and Participation of People with ID
Aims
• Phase I: Validate an assessment tool to measure environmental barriers and supports to participation.• Phase II: Utilize results to design & evaluate a community-based, Healthy Community Living & Participation Management intervention program in a controlled trial with 100 people with I/DD.
• Phase III: Translate knowledge to people with ID, and evaluate its impact at individual, community.
