NorthPointe Resources is participating in the HealthMatters IL Initiative. A HealthMatters team participated in the training webinars, and a 12-week class is in progress; with another 12-week class scheduled to begin in January.

Kristin Krok, Health & Wellness Coordinator for HealthMatters IL visited four community based organizations that are participating in the HealthMatters IL Initiative.

The pilot phase is underway for
POWERSforID, with trials including five participants using the online coaching system. Our poster on IRB and intellectual disability research won 3rd place at the American Academy of Developmental Dentistry Annual Conference & Global Summit on Innovation in Health and IDD. We also did a presentation at the Coleman Institute Conference demonstrating the POWERS system and reviewing pilot study design.




AWARDS & HONORS


The
Lurie Institute for Disability Policy (Directed by Susan Parish, PhD) received funding from NIDILRR to administer a postdoctoral research fellowship in health and disability disparities. This new program started Oct 1, 2015.
